Arizona doesn't have a pick. Flames are picking the 11th player

Trade freeze on July 17th, ahead of expansion draft.

Does it get done before that?

Tarasenko and Buf 3rd (MTL) to Cal, Tkachuk to Buf, Reinhart to Stl....all extended of course. Close?
- chugger38

Sabres don't have their own 3rd but they do have montreal's and Florida's.

So it's Reinhart and a 3rd for Tkachuk?

I guess I'm curious why Calgary would want a beaten down Tarasenko instead of Reinhart. Seems like a simpler deal could take place without St. Louis

No. The 11th.

Flames pick 12, but Arizona's 11th pick is voided. So 11th player at pick 12

Yeah, a bit light on Calgary's return....maybe STL throws in a pick?

Chicago takes issue with that, since they actually pick 11th.

* The Flames technically hold the 13th overall position in the opening round but will select 12th due to Arizona forfeiting their first round pick for violating NHL Combine testing policy during the 2019-20 season

Do you really see Seattle blinking of Adams suddenly tells them we're taking Beniers if we don't make this trade? I don't.
- buffalofan19

Reverse psychology on a rookie g.m. They tell Adams they want this guy when they really want the other.

I think Buffalo gets fleeced in any trade.

Why would NJ trade for Ristolainen when they could just wait a year, not sign him, and then never have to watch him be a terrible hockey player on their team?
- awtr

Just bc YOU don’t think Risto is any good,
doesn’t mean Jersey doesn’t want him….

So basically…..
we get Tkachuk for Reinhart & a 3rd

I’m good with that

U mentioned something about wanting a top12 pick

Provided he's extended at a reasonable rate I'm good.

Tkachuk could just take his $9m QO next year and the Sabres are back in the same position next year as they are with Reinhart this year if he isn't extended before or immediately after a trade

Tk fought for what may be the most player friendly bridge deal ever. Why would he go soft now, when he has all of the leverage? To play in Buffalo?

If you thought the zombie genre has been played out to death (no pun intended) and there's nothing new anyone can do to revive it, please give Netflix's "Black Summer" a chance. Season 1 was pretty good, and season 2 just came out ... and is amazing ! Incredibly brutal, frenetic, action-packed stuff. The zombies aren't just slowly pondering around...they're fast, smart, and strong. The action in season 2's last episode left me on the edge of my seat. I was frantic watching that.

Great acting, and beautifully shot. Trust me, you'll love it. Both seasons are connected and I would say season 2 is better, so stick around for that. Finished it last night and it's all I've been thinking about today. I'll probably watch it again just for the action.

So good !
