I would think we will see movement on the Eichel and Reinhart fronts after the expansion lists are handed in.

I also don’t have sources so who really knows.

- Pegullaville

Why?
Wouldn't the acquiring teams want to protect their newly acquired players?

Also, trades are locked down after the protection lists are submitted?

Provided he's extended at a reasonable rate I'm good.

Tkachuk could just take his $9m QO next year and the Sabres are back in the same position next year as they are with Reinhart this year if he isn't extended before or immediately after a trade

- Hank Balling

True
I’d wanna keep him long term
But he’d wanna have to be here long term as well

So that means we wouldn’t know exactly what spot the pick would be in
U mentioned something about wanting a top12 pick

- jdfitz77

Basically true, but most of those teams aren't gonna blow anyone away next year, but you a right.

Tk fought for what may be the most player friendly bridge deal ever. Why would he go soft now, when he has all of the leverage? To play in Buffalo?
- Lunaion

If we can trade for Brady as well,
maybe he’d wanna stick around to play with his brother??

If you thought the zombie genre has been played out to death (no pun intended) and there's nothing new anyone can do to revive it, please give Netflix's "Black Summer" a chance. Season 1 was pretty good, and season 2 just came out ... and is amazing ! Incredibly brutal, frenetic, action-packed stuff. The zombies aren't just slowly pondering around...they're fast, smart, and strong. The action in season 2's last episode left me on the edge of my seat. I was frantic watching that.

Great acting, and beautifully shot. Trust me, you'll love it. Both seasons are connected and I would say season 2 is better, so stick around for that. Finished it last night and it's all I've been thinking about today. I'll probably watch it again just for the action.

So good !

Gotcha
That’s why i said I’d be ok with a team like Jersey
I think we’re on the same page
Wouldn’t wanna do it if it’s gonna be late picks
But if we think they’ll be towards the top of the draft, I’d consider it
Kinda risky though, bc u never know

No one really WANTS to trade a good player
I bet CGY doesn’t really want to part with Matty

We’d have to make it worth their while
Olofsson + Jack Quinn
For
Brady Tkachuk + something

If YOU had Brady, would you trade him for that? I wouldn't. Olofsson is a one trick pony.

That's one Tkachuk I don't think we have a chance at, or atleast without Cozens being involved.

Maybe if I knew I had Zegras and Turcotte or Vilardi already locked up in other trades I might not hang up the phone. But then I might use Vilardi in the package to Ottawa instead or atleast start with him instead of Cozens.

Bingo. Add pieces, whatever. But they aren't giving Brady up for Olo and Quinn. That's a certainty.

That why i included Quinn,
who Ottawa reportedly was considering taking with the 5th pick in that draft

Also…. These are all just hypotheticals
No reason to get bent outta shape about it

I'm not bent.

I'm just asking the question. If you had Brady, are you trading him for Olo and Quinn? I think I know the answer.

Disagree
Brady Tkachuk isn’t some “AMAZING” player
20-25 goal scorer who gets roughly 45pts a year
He had 36pts this year
Olofsson had 32pts

And Quinn has a higher ceiling as a scorer than both of them

Yes, i absolutely would
For what I’d lose on physicality,
I’d likely more than make up for with Quinn’s (potential) scoring

Also….. read my post above this one^^^

Based on what ?

Tkachuk was scoring 20 goals as an 18 year old NHL’er

Quinn can’t even score in the AHL at 19 yet

Yeah I’m not gonna go down this rabbit hole.

Nothing in their careers so far or scouting reports has Quinn with a higher ceiling

One was a top 5 pick and has scored in the NHL

The other was a reach at 8 and struggled in the world juniors and Rochester
