I'm ready to be shocked in a good way on a Reinhart return.

I am too, but a top 10 pick and recent top 5 pick just seems too high. That's what they are fighting to get for Jack.

You could be right Pach's, Minny is still there.

- Buff36

who knows?...right!?...just throwing this out there...

it's also very subjective as if there's a team i'd really like to see get jack, it's minny

"Fiala, Boldy, Rask and Greenway are possible pieces of a trade offer for Eichel too, if Wild general manager Bill Guerin wants to entertain those options. If it comes to that, it would be a small price to pay for the Wild to add one the best young centers in hockey.

But one of their two first-round picks, one of Rossi or Boldy, either Fiala or Kahkonen and one of Zuccarello, Greenway and Rask would be an offer Buffalo would have to pay attention to."

one interesting take on the habs

they were 3 games over .500 in a weak division and made it to the finals

odds are, if the divisions were left alone they probably would not have been a .500 team and at the very least, would have been much worse then the bolts, bruins, leafs and panthers and have been a distant 5th in the division

It does, but if they don't get Jack, they will be all over Rhino.

Maybe. Like I said, I expect to be surprised. Just not quite that surprised.

they got in and got on a roll with a $10m goalie, eventually losing to an all-star team backed by a $9m, conn-smythe winning goalie....

Come now Hank, I've seen better trade proposals on Sabres Mafia and 20% of those have Jack going to Edmonton for McDavid or to Toronto for Matthews. The closest maybe is the New Jersey Devil 1. But why bother moving your first overall unless it included a player. Something more like Rasmus ristolainen for Miles wood and 3rd or 4th rounder makes more sense. The trade proposal that I passed out their was more like number one overall to Columbus in return for the fifth, Tampa Bay's, 31 is it or is it 32 I'm not sure if they're actually having an 11 labeled forfeit, and one of the goalies. But at this point I'm not sure Columbus will move a goalie considering the tragedy. Side note does Columbus get to be exempt from the goalie category and the expansion now? For now the only goalie they have under contract is Elvis and would be forced to expose him for joonas korpisalo is exempt

Just have to wait and see, can say that the scenarios being thrown around are supposedly mind-boggling, lots of moving pieces.

Enough is enough. They need to hire Pegullaville to a 30 day consultancy contract to make sure that 1.) We get the appropriate return for Eichel and Reinhart 2.) We make the right pick(s) in the 1st

Haven't heard any real rumors on Sam yet. All the focus is on Jack, I guess.

I wonder how deep into the roster they might be willing to dig. I would imagine that with Power being on the board that there is a scenario where Dahlin could be in play (even if very, very, very remote). I would imagine that Cozens is the only untouchable.

I dont think the Devils would move Wood for Risto straight up, personally.

some quotes after Andrei Vasilevskiy signed that contract

"I wonder if Yzerman would have done this if he were still running the show. There is no way he is worth that much more than replacement player."

"So anything over $6 seems to be a large mistake."

"Ouch what a terrible contract..... I hope we never pay a goalie that much"

"I agree, Tampa has drafted well in the past, but I think they are almost done, due to amount of cap taken with high salaries."

"Bye bye Stamkos."

Buffalo is giving up the 1st overall for the 12th overall and Tkachuk? That's actually being discussed?

I can't see the 8th overall and Turcotte, but I can see the 8th overall and one of Bjornfot, Kupari, Vilardi or Kaliyev for an extended Reinhart.

Don't kill the messenger, but scenarios have been talked about, and it wouldn't just be Tkachuk.

With his $9M pay day coming up, I'm not thrilled with that idea.

I don’t even think Reinhart gets Turcotte on his own.

In the above scenario I would do Bjornfot then draft Beniers
