Would be a huge mistake they have already too many players with some issues
Minor faults. DeAngelo is above minor

I guess if you equate what he did with murdering and raping then I guess this discussion is gonna go nowhere.

Is that your correlation? I guess you didn't get the point.

I also read they have been in talks with Gary Thorne's agent.

One on-ice issue with DeAngelo is that he is a bottom-six forward cosplaying as a defenseman. His defensive game is weak and he's a power play specialist at best. He needs protected minutes. Put him against top opposition and he will get burned every time. He's not a solution to the Flyers' perceived defensive issues. And the other baggage he brings off-ice doesn't add to his allure. I would pass on him unless he signs for league minimum.

Jesus, it's been like years since I actually had to sit down and watch ESPN -- back when Bucci was clean-shaven and Levy had a head of dark hair.

Hextall calling games regularly should be cool.

Edit: Also happy that Seravalli isn't part of their studio team.

Yes, set all the personality and politics and anger issues aside, the guy is another player in the vein of Ghost/Gus. AV will end up hating him. He will be benched. He will be scratched. The only difference is, he won't take it quite as well as Ghost and Gus did.

im not even sure the other players would want Tony D on the team, he isnt worth the headache, we have other issues to sort out before taking that baggage on

Not sure what the point was, but Tampa as a blueprint is a very interesting one to examine. They have 2 top picks in Hedman and Stamkos, and another 1st round pick in Vasilevskiy, but the bulk of their team was built by finding elite players (Kucherov and Point) and very good players (Palat, Cernak and Cirelli) in the later rounds of the draft. They also made very smart trades, e.g. acquiring McDonagh and Sergachev. No magic here, just had very smart people who made the right decisions in building the team up piece by piece. Have the Flyers had equally smart people making the right decisions in building their current roster up?

must really bother Montreal fans to be beaten by a team with 1/3 of defense comprised of former players. And the return they got for McDonogh and Sergachev was NOT GOOD.

they probably don't as he would upset the comfortable country club atmosphere that has been around for a decade.

He is better defensively than Ghost. Will only cost 1.5 imo. Can help the PP better than Ivan and Ghost.

They were a Cinderella team, clock struck midnight on them before they could pull off the full miracle. As Kuch said... they celebrated game 4 like they won the Cup. And their "real Stanley Cup" was just beating their Canadian rivals and Vegas to even get there.

At the end of the day, the whole run was gravy.

Kevin Weekes is one of, if not the, best analysts in all of hockey, IMO. Hopefully that will make ESPN a bit more bearable to watch
