We don't need a Josh Anderson type playing with AM34.
It'd be fun to having a crash line though with speed, I'll give you that. (but I'm not paying 5.5M for a power forward that doesn't score all that much) - mjones242
You mean a player like Hyman? Just bigger with more speed and better hands |

The coaching was horrible. Your best players are being mugged and you do nothing about it. No line matching, no cross-check the opponent's best players, just the laissez faire approach. - winsix
You just know if the Leafs played like that it would be a parade to the penalty box and suspensions. |

But who replaces him and all his minutes?
It would create a big hole on defense wouldn't it? - Scabeh
If this is a trolling, rhetorical question, you've done a good job.
But there's always next year... |

I’d rather have Rielly for the year than picks. We’d be using the asset for the full length of his contract. - Canada Cup
So you are saying…..
Rielly> Larsson and picks 🙄 |

In my day, "power forward" meant scoring.

I just don't get the idea of making the Leafs weaker on defense.
I think Rielly, for the right price, would be a great addition to any team.
Hell, I wouldn't mind the Habs signing him if he becomes a UFA in a year. |

Maybe so, but...... AM is Leafs best player, hard to argue that he was targeted and abused the entire series. The coach allowed it to happen without pushback.
What is better? Flip the puck over the glass for 2 minutes, or run hard into Carey Price accidently on purpose for two minutes and have Weber, Edmundson and Chiarot running after you for the rest of the game.

Scored 27 last full season and was on pace for it again this year ( same as Nylander )on poop teams.
Kerfoot makes 3.5 what do you think Anderson is worth? |

I'm not convinced we need to be "bigger" -- just more tenacious and have a north-south line that makes things a little less predictable and "fun" to play against.
I don't want to pay Zach Hyman types 4.5-5.5M. I think you can have that type of tenacious line for a grand total of 5-6M (max). If they score some goals, cool, but it's more about adding truculence and a different look than anything. |
