Many England players took off the medal from their neck, not sure if any will throw it to the stands |

would've been very poor sportsmanship, especially at that level.

Pat, assuming Burrows becomes headcoach in Laval, who do you see with the Habs as assistant coach? |

July 11 1982 Italy won the World Cup against West Germany, I guess it’s a good day for them. Life was much easier back then in general |

good question, hadn't really thought about it. I'm not sure what the potential available candidates list looks like but ideally you'd want a guy that has bit more NHL experience then Ducharme, and that has never coached for the habs before (enough with the coach recycling already, and language isn't a prerequisite for the assistant job, so the candidate pool should be a bit larger)

that could be interesting, he knows DD very well, and it would be a perfect way for Hartley to come back in the league. I was under the impression that other teams might consider him for a head-coaching job but perhaps it's been too long since he's coached in the NHL for that to happen right now.

brings experience, has contacts in Europe to bring players over, knows DD well, comes back home... it almost makes too much sense |

then it most likely won't happen, cuz you know, Murphy's law...
seriously though it would be silly for the habs to not consider him. I remember Bob was saying he didn't want to steal the job from Ducharme, so now he would have the opportunity to help him out a little with it instead |
