Pretty sure he's one of Eklund's main sources.

Ignore the two teams who made runs to the Cup finals and decided they needed to bench him in order to get there and look at these advanced stats. Just look at them.

it sucks though that he's such a different player in the post-season, I don't get why he just can't seem to get it going... |

I don't think anyone sees Tatar as a playoffs monster. (Despite his great AHL cup run a decade ago)
But is he still a good player? Most definetely. |

if only the habs could do a "reverse TB" and keep him just for the regular season but he doesn't count against the cap...

Years ago MB talked about those who get you there and those who get you through. Tatar will be 31 early next season. At this point he is what he is, a guy who gets you there but doesn't do much to get you through |

Put him next to McDavid next season.
Pretty sure he'll outscore Puljujarvi.

I get that, but it's a frustrating conclusion, I really liked the guy and wished he could continue with the same pace or better during the playoffs, the habs sure could've used his set of skills

Il a joué quoi, un match?
Son trio ne produisait pas offensivement quand on l'a débarqué.
Anyway, Toffoli peut produire sur ce trio selon moi, mais ça fait moins de profondeur sur l'aile gauche. |

he played 5 games during the playoffs, and yeah they're gonna have to find some sort of replacement to his regular-season production (and also his line wasn't producing offensively when he was gone either...) |

There's also the fact that Anderson and Caufield are technically both RW.
So Caufield had to switch to his offwing for Anderson to play with him and Suzuki.
It "worked" but it's not ideal.
While Toffoli can play both wings with relative success.
Now we need a guy that shoots left that could help them....
Ideally someone with size.... That could score....
Hmmm...
Maybe....

Pretty sure it was anderson on the left side, but yeah. A LW would be nice for a change. I think Armia was playing on his off wing as well. |
