that is really a major turn of events. opens up a spot, clears cap space, impacts the expansion draft, the UFA market... what a beast to have played these playoffs injured as he was.

Instead of going after a LHD, they need a RHD.

They have more money yes, but it doesn't mean they will get plan A.

difficult to say. losing your captain for the season is a tough blow.
but if he can return for the playoffs, could be a positive (aka Kucherov).

Yes but the LHD cannot really move the puck very well and Romanov is not ready to be that guy yet
