That's a pretty big stretch. Pettersson has been very mature and professional at a young age in a country far from home, while learning a new language/culture. Everyone has their days/weeks where they're not at 100%.

Rick Dhalliwal a very reliable source just said on his Check TV show that as of this afternoon he has been told by 2 sources that there is an accepted trade for Nate Scmidt already.

Dhaliwal then says he thinks it hasnt been formally put through yet as it might be a trade for after the expansion draft so that the acquiring team doesnt have to use up a space to protect Schmidt.

He says hes been told that the deal should finalized before draft day next Friday and could possibly involve picks.

He doesn't know the return if its for a bonifide NHLer, or if the Canucks are getting picks and prospects to clear cap space to go after Dougie Hamilton/Seth Jones

More likely he gets more & not here. Still he’s the type of player I like although at 29 it’s a bit of a risk. Term again would be key.

You have to develop these type of players or you have to overpay.

Maybe Gadgovich can turn into this type of player a couple of years down the road with some improved skating.

I imagine he is a decent player even away from the Leafs , but I haven't really given him a lot of thought. I guess if talks get serious then I would look deeper into it . I think he will get 5 x7 but I don't think it will be Canucks. I think they are just kicking tires.
