They should expose Myers and holtby and hope one gets claimed, not paying an asset for them to take one. It's crazy thay Benning and management think protecting Myers is a right call.

I think he's overpaid and that it will only become more apparent as his deal ages. I'm not really a fan of his or Schmidt. I get that our D corps sucks, but does that mean we have to overpay for what we have?

Trading a 2nd to get rid of Holtby is insane. First of all, his play nor his contract warrant it. Second of all, it's absolutely insane asset management.

Guess what, if you have to make that deal to save your job you don't deserve it in the first place. Spend the next 9 months sweet talking the owner instead and writing him personal cheques if you have to. A 2nd round pick to rid yourself of Holtby for 1 year? Ridiculous.
