I hope they put Toffoli on LTIR as well.
I hope lots of teams push this issue and place high--priced players on LTIR.

I wanted to sign Nichushkin as a reclaim project prior to the Bubble. Posted it on here somewhere and was panned.
Big body Russian might be a perfect fit for Podz - carsonagenic
Would be a nice pick up

Lot's of buyouts to protect preferred roster players and perhaps make space for trades. By tomorrow we'll know if there was any bargain e-draft trades.
Wild avoid cap circumvention penalty and make themselves stronger against offer sheets. |

Prices lower a bit for other free agents with all these buyouts and teams not snapping up players before the e-draft. |

St. Louis among those with legit interest in potential free agent Zach Hyman…lots of interest from a number of teams in Canada as well. Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary. I do believe Seattle could become a player as well. #stlblues #Cofred #Canucks #Oilers #Seakraken #Leafsforever

Any guess what Jaden Schwartz might get if he hits the UFA market? St.L probably have the money to resign him - but he's coming off a down season. If we could move out Schmidt and another contract, he would be a great player to play on a 3rd line with Miller, or top 6. Read a bunch of St.L columns that said "let him walk" others suggests he should make a deal similar to Perron 4x4. He's probably looking for 5+X5 but I doubt he'll get that. maybe a deal closer to Toffolis would be fair. |

Shea Weber’s body is beaten up. Is it possible he might play again? Possible, but leaning toward unlikely. The NHL isn’t commenting, however, based on history of other players granted LTI...if the NHL’s hardline doesn’t soften, this case will likely end in dispute with the PA. |

I don't know. He has been injured a lot. He was a very good play driver when healthy. Someone might get him for a steal like Perron. Perron has outplayed his contract thats for sure though. |

It is like that with any nationality. Nothing wrong with wanting a piece of home with you. Podk never asked for a fellow Russian it is just Canucks helping a young player ease into a new environment. - VANTEL
I know he didn't ask but doesn't it seem like a waste? What are the odds they find a russian player who actually fits of of the teams needs?
Watch JB trade for Terasenko who then never plays a game as a Canuck because his body is shattered |

Artem Ansimov would probably be a good fit as a fairly cheap, 4th line center. Had some injury issues this past year, and I think he's on his last legs but normally he puts up 30ish + pts. I heard he's Not much of a whiner either. |

if they do bring in somebody, make sure he's got the right personality to blend in. you don't want the russians (or any group) to stick together in a group.
next thing you know the room's divided into "gangs." everyone has a different label and then every so often a brawl breaks out.
trust me, no one wants that. |
