I don’t mind the concept of getting a goalie. But if you are trading Eichel and co, planning on sucking as Gerbe says for wright (no reason to disbelieve that), do we wanna spend assets on a goalie this season that could steal enough games to push us out? If you are doing that just trout out houser, play games 6-4, open style, let the forwards gain confidence, then go after a goalie next offseason(s) - SDSabre
Resign hutton? Top 5 pick locked in.
Ullmark can get hot at times. If he stays healthy, might finish 6-10 |

It's one thing to go w all the kids and concentrate on developing.
It's another to go get every Matt D'Agostini and Linus Omark available to you. |

Or it gets us more Ristos.. Honestly blueprint is out. Need a couple top 3 picks, can supplant with 8/12s (Nylander types) and be good at drafting a couple later rounds. - SDSabre
If they build a post-Jack lineup with integrity--with the goal of winning now with quality players, young players--and lose, it's nothing to be ashamed of. |

fair enough. Think they are destined to lose at least 2 more seasons more then they win. I think playing high event hockey is better for the psychie then parking the bus for full games in hopes of two odd man rushes as well |

Even without #9 and #23 there aren't really any roster spots available to the Kenopkas and Varones of the world. Thankfully. |

So will the Sabres make any moves before the 3pm roster freeze?
1. Trading Risto so we won’t lose him or Borgen to Seattle would make sense
2. Trading for a goalie from a team that can’t protect him makes a ton of sense
3. We can protect Jack and Reinhart without exposing anybody we’d care about losing so don’t expect anything here.
4. This is the Sabres so I expect them to Do nothing and lose Borgen, unless they have a deal in place with Seattle for them to take Miller |

Installing a new dishwasher today and it's a pain in my ass. You are to suffer with me, if only for that one moment of dread thinking a Risto extension is on the horizon. Which, God help me, better not be. |

I'm ready for 2 more bad, but try hard years youth exuberance.
Not sure if we can have goaltending both ways:
Either:
it's good goaltending and we win a few more games.
Or we're bad goaltending and we lose almost all of the games next season.
Cant see ullmark signing up for this situation. |

Honest questions, how can you can gain confidence if you're always fishing pucks out of your own net? How can you buy into a vision that is based upon losing? - Michael Pachla
How does a goalie gain confidence on a team that is young and expected to make his life miserable. At least if they sign Ullmark he’s very used to it. |

So you think a team that just finished dead last is going to win more then lose after trading their best two players? I like the confidence. And would happily be wrong. |

Ruotsalanienen showed some good promise.
Young guy to develop under donnie G.
Looking forward to his game evolving next season in buffalo.
