I'm still hopeful both will be back next season and beyond. With them in the lineup and a real NHL goalie, I like the chances of making the playoffs next season.

I think sabres then would have to expose him to the draft? If not then they would expose Risto and we know there is no way in hell the sabres will do that.


I guess they could have traded for Graves and trade away Risto before the draft but that seems complicated for sabres management.

One thing that has been extremely disappointing the last 10 years is it seems like management is not capable of doing more than one thing at a time.

Myocarditis is not career ending and they expect it to be resolved. They believe it was a side effect from covid and he will be fine to start the season.

I would take Rossi, Boldy, Fiala/Ek and 1st form Minnesota and not think twice.

I've personally thought eichel is %100 gone, up until the skating part. I think the surgery is being re thought.

Nobody opts for surgery 1st, its generally a last resort decision.

If Kevyn is not getting the "healthy" eichel offers , maybe they need to prove his health.

IE: eichel is overcoming the injury and ready to showcase his talents? Season starts October 12th, eichel may still be our 1C.

Yep - often what is public perception and reality are two different things. BUT, the fact adams gave us state of the Sabres speech and never mention #9 means he’s got to be gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a deal in place, or close and the trade isn’t being made now cuz the acquiring team doesn’t want to have to use a spot to protect him. Sabres don’t have an issue with protecting him
