He's also no longer waiver exempt. They will inevitably end up flipping some players for mid/late picks out of necessity. I don't think it would take much to protect him.

Absolutely. I think they'd have to bribe them to take Miller. I don't think he has much value flipping and they have much better options to utilize their cap space.

If we protect Risto, I wouldn't be shocked all if they surprise us and take Girgs, Tokarski, or even someone like Oglevie.

I just like to point out that Seattle is picking 30 players, and it's not quite as simple as taking the bpa from each team. They have a lot of juggling to do.

Landy projects as a top 6 talent through the next 7 years. He also plays a hard game. It's a risk giving him a Skinner contract.

He is, however, the kind of player we desperately need.
