If Canucks make their target UFAs he'll stay on LTIR to rehab just like everyone else. If Canucks make playoffs bingo bottom 6th depth. - NuckUp
I’d give it 50/50 Beagle starts on LTIR. |

LONG TERM. WE DO. Next season $25M more cap off. Even Luongo's cap recapture is gone next season. That's why they can cap shuffle for 1 season to land Landy and Larsson. |

You're missing the point. IF they add big targets then they'll need his LTIR. |

I think you're missing the point. It's not an arbitrary thing, you can't just choose to put someone on LTIR that isn't injured lol. We went over this 8 blogs ago. Beagle is on track to start the season as per reports. The best they can do is throw him in the press box with LE. |

Jared McCann has 0 goals in 12 career playoff games, so he fits nicely with the Leafs - VANTEL

I sort of disagree. If you expose price, the absolute worst thing that happens is you shed yourself of one of the worst goalie contracts in the league, which Seattle won't take. They just spent assets on jake Allen last year and he filled in nicely for price when he was hurt. Exposing price and protecting Allen basically garuntees you retain both your goalies. It's sort of why I wanted to expose Myers, cause he won't be chosen by Seattle and you can protect a younger asset. I do like Myers and think he's good for our team, but I truly don't think Francis would take him if left exposed. |

I am going to go the other way because right till the end I thought he was playoff MVP and what's the deal of giving up assets to get a goalie that doesn't play in the playoffs? I look at that as a very all in move.
Price still looks like a top three goalie in the league so I am not sure how it could be the worst or one of the worst contracts?

Oh he was, absolutely, but he's 33, soon to be 34, and has 5 more years at a 10.5 aav cap hit. He's not getting chosen by Seattle. He's regressed heavily in the last 3 years, despite going to the final this year, which was in large part to Allen playing great hockey down the stretch (they were still a below .500 team before the playoffs). I think it's good asset management by Montreal, protects your tandem. |

Don’t agree Francis passes on Myers & what younger asset needed protection…Bowey? |

The idea of exposing Myers for me was after we acquired another defenseman before the freeze. Say we acquired Graves or Manson for example, I would expose Myers cause he wouldn't get chosen due to his age and length of term. As of today, they 100% need to protect Myers. |

Hearing that Carey Price has waived his no-move for purpose of exposure in the expansion draft so that the Habs could protect Jake Allen in the expansion draft. The thought is that Seattle wouldn’t want to pick up the rest of Price’s hefty contract. But I guess we will see. |

It’d be kinda shocking, but you never know. Marc-Andre Fleury had some down years before Pittsburg went to a younger goaltender and then he just won the Vezina at age 36 with Vegas.
His wife’s from Kennewick Washington, met her when he was playing with Tri City Americans. |

Sure backfired on the Pens keeping Murray & Jarry. Neither has really been impressive although it was a cap dump. |
