The league needs to approve it. He didn't come back for playoffs after Bergervin acquired Staal with the cap space that opened from drouin. Had drouin come back in the playoffs it would have been kucherov 2.0 but he didn't. It was legit whatever he is going through.

This is not good for Canucks as Krak might pass on Holtby taking Price. Fracken Krack can do both they have the cap space.

Plus looks like Habs clearing cap to add big targets. Like maybe a Hall, Hamilton etc. Habs gambled and went for playoffs last off season. Vowed after losing to cap circumventing Bolts they'll be back. Now you see them prepping cap space to do that.

Canucks are not in a position to take on a salary and receive compensation for doing so, they’re also not in a position to shed salary due to it costing them some of their future. I see another bottom ten finish unless Benning can really work some magic, we all know that’s not happening

LOL he's injured! They're not making up anything. PLUS Beagle at his age will never be 100% with degenerative issues. Its pretty simple to keep him on LTIR for 1 season; IF, that's what they want to do.

I look at it this way . His take home salary this year is 600 K . If he wants to go train like a mad man all summer and play out his last year then God Bless America . That is between him his family and the Canucks . Not only after that he may be sent to the AHL or he could be traded.

No one knows and I think it is irrelevant because he can still be a decent shut down fourth line center. He might be bought out ? He is about # 33 of things to care about this summer.

I think right now what's important is to sign Hughes and Petey and fill in the roster to make it better.

I personally think Jay is a good guy and will work with the team to do what is best for him and the team.
