I want nothing to do with him. He is damaged goods. Not giving up assets for a player that might play 10 to 15 games. No thanks. To me its stupid and dumb |

Hell No!!!!! Why? Because he used to be good? Lamoriello and Trotz are both sharper than that. |

Friedman speculates #isles working on locking Adam Pelech up long-term before turning attention to Cizikas. Bets Casey stays with Islanders. |

Long term, eh?
Well I’ve no issue with that.
So far as Tarasenko goes, I could probably be convinced if an ugly contract went the other way. Something like Eberle, Komarov and a 2nd? |

I think Eberle, Leddy, or (much less likely) Bailey would have to be going the other way. No way they could add his $7.5M cap hit without one of those three going in the other direction. |

Hopefully not too long for Casey. I would roll the dice on this type of trade for Tarasenko. |

The man will shortly be breaking franchise games played records. Can’t see him going anywhere else anytime soon.
I’d rather send Eberle to the Blues, then flip Leddy somewhere else for a 2nd. But I could also see the Blues wanting him. |

I suspect Casey will sign something similar to the Martin contract. |

I think you're going to see Casey take a lower AAV than he currently has and everyone will blast the deal for the term being too long. |

I'm thinking 4 or 5 year deal. |

I don't know if Tarasenko fits intot he culture that the Islanders have been building. The Islanders were 1 goal away from the Stanley Cup Finals and who would you take out of the lineup to play with Barzal, knowing that you also have Anders Lee returning next year. |

Casey has been hurt quite a bit. I hope that gets factored in. |

The two most often mentioned are Leddy and Eberle. Both (if not traded) are likely to be left unprotected.
It’s also hoped that Palmieri will sign to a lesser coin and term than Eberle after the expansion draft is over.
Personally I’m leaning towards trading them both for picks, then using said picks to either convince Seattle to take Ladd (🤞) or trade in turn for help after the draft (Dunn, Rakell, Reinhart, Garland, etc).
Or the resulting cap space acquired from losing Leddy, Eberle and perhaps Ladd (🤞) could be thrown at a FA like Landeskog. |

That’s pretty damn decent.
Panik-Pageau-Wahlstrom is my guess. |
