I don’t know. I’m not ready to pay Danault over 4.5 for a defensive 3C. Yes he’s good but doesn’t produce much and a long term contract would hurt us. I’d ready give a full time Evans or even bring Poehling next year. Else sign a guy like Statsny. We already have a few defensive players in Evans, Byron, Lehkonen, Suzuki(PK) Toffoli(PK).

Montreal and Tampa Bay have been engaged in trade talks recently and it’s a deal that would be the result of TB having to leave a good player unprotected and wanting assets for said player. I’m told it is not Killorn. If I had to guess: D Ryan McDonagh.

Well, Bergevin been good in about all it trades. Sometimes it’s work, sometimes it doesn’t. Drouin was a good pickup at the start but just didn’t end the good way sadly. Tampa knows to either trade something or they’ll lose something important for free.

Me too but they have a huge hole. Allen will probably be the pick unless a good D isn’t protected. If they go the 8-1 route Gallagher/Toff/And/KK will still be protect leaving Evans,Drouin,Byron,Lek.
If they go 7-3 well they’ll only protect someone extra that would probably not be picked anyway.

If Bergevin feels he has a good deal in place with Tampa then why not steal it?
