I think this is a good deal.
We get a solid left side D on a one year deal that we should be able to flip for a late first in next years draft which the Wings scouts will have a better handle on than this years draft.
It also opens up a spot for a younger forward.

Yes... I think you're right here. This would be my best guess at this point in time and probably the best possible scenario for the Wings (although losing the 2nd rounder from the trade sucks). My guess in this scenario is they would lose Svetch.

Depends on how well Leddy plays next season and points wise. He'll be a UFA next summer. Surely some playoff team contending will take a chance on Leddy. Leddys numbers have always been respectable too and LD are desired.
