Landeskog is a great player in many different ways on the ice,a proven workhorse.i love his game and how he works, but at a cap of 9-10mil no way no thanks.we have plenty of leadership still in our own ranks,he doesnt make us a cup contender now or accelerate us in that process by leaps and bounds, hes not that dynamic a player.
As I said I appreciate and admire landeskog and believe he deserves a payday for what he does,I just dont think the kings should be that team to pay him that.

We both won -- obviously.

And also --- both lost?

It's much easier to be one person than two. Two is exhausting -- like trying to turn left and right at the same time.

Which you can do -- if up and down don't exist.

But they do. Just like everything exists.

So we both lost -- obviously.

Stop using Wonderland Math. That'd be a 2.5m cap hit. If you are going to take the time to write posts on this blog -- at least take the time to make them accurate.

You don't want to do front-loaded contracts for 35+ players anymore. If you're going to sign a 35+ player to a multi-year deal, it's preferable to have the salary evenly spread among all the years. If the contract is front-loaded, then the cap hit stays on the books in its entirety for the length of the contract regardless if the player retires or is bought out. If not, then the cap hit comes off the books if the player retires or treated like any other contract if it is bought out (2/3 value over twice the remainder of the contract).
