I prefer my GM’s to do nothing and keep coaches on the payroll solely because they don’t talk back not based on performance. - Cptmjl

What’s his price tag? - Isleshockeyman
He’s a free agent. I would think we could get him on the cheap considering he’s 35 and there’s a flat cap for the foreseeable future. |

No question Cpt Bolduc is going to have to blow Lou and Barry away to get more than a look and I expect another dman to be added. I'm fine with Zach for a year on a cheaper deal as long as an impact forward is added as well. The biggest work needed is on offense though. - ses111
Leddy was not good in the playoffs I get it but he leaves a much bigger hole then I think a lot of people on this thread realize. Dobson was pretty exposed last season. Maybe he improves and takes a big step this season but I doubt lameriello is going to bank on that when he’s “going for it”. I know you don’t want to hear this but I bet lameriello is more focused on his blue line then up front right now.
I think depending on who we lose to expansion we can see a decent add on the backend and good add(s) up front. |

Parise and Tarasenko with Lee back and Wally full time makes this team very dangerous from a Offensive standpoint. I still think we trade Varly for a big piece and pick up a tier 2 backup. |

Leddy was very frustrating but he will be missed for sure. I know Lou and Barry will always key on the defense but with Barry system they do not need to add a star on defense. Dobson I have to think will only get better with this years experience. It takes dmen longer anyway.
The big add should be on offense this offseason. If Lou can somehow add both even better. |

Parise for the 3rd line and either Tarasenko or Landy for the top 6 with Wally and you go to war with this team. I'm thinking next year it's more likely they move Varly but anything is possible this offseason. |

With Lou at the helm, everyone is an option.
Random thought, anyone have interest in bringing back Z for a year? (Unless he signed or retired and I haven’t heard about it) - Isleshockeyman
I love the idea of bringing back Z to team with Dobson but I'm thinking it will be Greene. |

Greene was even more frustrating to me. It seems like he was always coughing up the puck and losing board battles in the D zone. |

Greene really looked done to me these playoffs. I'm really not happy if he returns. He seems more like a 7th dman. |

Oh, I’m sure. I just thought of you can get Z on a one year for ~$1m, you add a veteran with defensive ability. Not to mention bring him home for maybe his last season. |

Greene looked tired in the playoffs. He has been great for us these last couple of seasons but if he’s anything other then a 7th defenseman for this team it’s not good. |

Is he? That’d be ok with me if Seattle took him. Flip side, I’m ok if he comes back. I liked his game the past couple seasons. Could it be coaching? |

Z is older than Greene but I would take Z over Greene at this point. Love the idea of Z retiring an Islander. |

Lameriello obviously has a plan to add up front and like I said in an earlier post it’s not only Parise. He’s trying to shed salary. |

Bailey the player Barry loves so much and never gets on for his lousy defensive play? Eberle is protected? |

I like Bailey over Eberle. Bailey actually played well these last two playoffs. |

Lou is not playing for sure. Team is not getting younger and it's now on never. Lou has to be frustrated losing to Tampa twice even though they went on to win the Cup twice. |
