well, there are most certainly people out there that are freaking out right now because of the rumors about Price being left unprotected, and they might be worried he'll be leaving, so I guess she wanted fans to know there's no need to panic...

I'm pretty sure he'll stay but I am still considering the unlikely scenario where Francis makes this bold move and grabs Price. chances of that happening are very slim but they are still there I guess, unless he's already confirmed it was out of the question or something

I'm sure Bergy/Price and now his wife think they got it all figured out and how this will protect the team and keep Allen (Who Price likes because it takes the workload off of him) and they are all having a "Don't worry" laugh about it because "There's NO WAY the Kracken will actually take Carey so it's a win/win for all parties

I kinda hope Francis opens a Spite Store and takes Price anyways, just to see the blowback of it all

I think Fido thinks that the cap space would make the team better and it would be easy to find a goalie out there. Yeah

I do. I also think they need to draft high in the 2 drafts following this one.
if they're lucky with the lottery, they'all have a good team in 3 years. an exellent one in 5.

and realistically, what would be your top 3 potential replacements for Carey? unless you really prefer the damn "tank mode" and go with Allen and Primeau to get a high draft pick...

voilĂ . don't care who's in net for the next 2 years. keep Primeau in Laval.

I understand the logic behind it but I find that approach is just depressing AF.

look at it this way Pat. even with Price and Weber, chances are they're not making the playoffs next year. so why not take the train? use this time to rebuild, draft high, play the kids, surround them with a few vets (which they already have btw). it's all good.

oh I get it, but for me going into a season saying "we're here to lose games and win the draft lottery" just isn't an option, especially after having reached the cup final. I want the team to progress and evolve with a winning mentality, even if that means not getting a higher pick.
