Andy Strickland says Habs are on watching Hoffman closely. We all know Habs tried to get him over here. Could be back in talk with him in a few days.

He would replace Tatar perfectly !

yeah, let's hope we get a good run "out of nowhere" from a goalie... I'll stop now, because we're going around in circles, but I don't see how this sounds like a truly decent plan
- Pat1993

I think Weber being permanently (or at least long term) injured and Danault possibly being an unknown is what is throwing the wrench in everything. Even if for argument sake they protected Price and lost Allen, they would need a good back up goalie, top 1 and 2 LW, a good RD to replace Weber and may need to replace Danault to have a good enough team to make another run. I don't think there's any possible way to have a solid "plan" to replace that quantity of assets, so exposing Price is the only sensible thing to do. If we keep Allen and Price at least we don't need to worry about the backup goalie and probably will have Drouin out, so that's one less asset we'll have to replace on what is already a very difficult list. Otherwise we're in a better position for the inevitable retool.

That guy is a goal scorer and specially a PP specialist. He would be a good fit at good price I think.

I'd be more afraid if they decided after the run to double down thinking they were so close

Well, I mean there's nothing that can be done about Weber's injury and Price sounds dicey for next season. Think of it as paving way to build an even better team around the kids.

We were really beat up by the time we played Tampa, but I think if we were as healthy as when we started against Vegas or Winnipeg we would have a had a great chance.

We might miss the playoffs, but I think our team should be pretty fun to watch.

Well we were on top of the teams for the first month then had a pretty bad streak. We won mostly with the new acquisition and not the core we had except Suzuki.

Add a few pieces and this team is still going to be good.
