Depends what he costs. Canucks have their top 4 Cs, along with Miller as insurance whenever 1 of them gets hurt. Unless he's signing for 4th line money(which I doubt), there's better, cheaper options.

i disagree. all this says is... i would like to be a UFA right away and pick my own course of personal and professional development.

if he was mature and serious, he could say the same thing but add, "i'll do everything in my power to work as hard on my maturity and personal responsibility as i do on my hockey development.... so the team who drafts me will recognize my desire to be a better person and hockey player."

That's what I keep thinking. It feels like he has an agent who's working hard to wipe the slate clean on his public image, with the whole publicizing of his psych evals and such
