Montreal sort of hooched the pooch on this one. Bergevin was sort of hoping to send Price there and trade back for him at half price but the NHL stepped in and said not going to happen.

Now Seattle are checking medical records and seriously considering taking price. That is why they have not contacted Danault because Price is their target.

No doubt but I’m thinking the agent only answered this question because Danault is technically exposed to Seattle. If they were asked about the Rangers signing Danault, I bet the agent refuses to comment or denies it.
