Maybe? Francis has a lot of options. That was difficult to pick the team. |

It shouldn't but does the trade change plans for Canucks drafting.
Maybe now in the tier they choose a top 4 D over a top 6 F.
Trade down? Depending on whats left to them. |

Was reading more on JD.
Curious to see how he is deployed when the roster is set.
I’m not thrilled about having JD as 3C and Beagle as 4C.
Ideally they can play together as a shut down line I suppose, with JD on the wing if Beagle is good to go. - dbot
My lineup has JD with speedy wingers who puck pursuit & have offense. |

The Canucks had more playoff success in the bubble thingy, than Toronto has had in years. - Reubenkincade
Better built for playoffs it’s that regular season thingy is the real challenge 😂😂 |

I don’t get Canuck fans who look at teams like TO or San Jose and say “they are in a world of pain over the next X years” and yet are just fine with the direction of the Canucks. I have a tough time laughing or criticizing other teams when my own team is in such a mess. - bloatedhefty
I doubt anyone is fine with the direction of the Canucks. More like have some really good core pieces with lots of warts. The D is the biggest problem size & grit wise. Cap space is a coming to really clear the muddy waters or… |

if that’s a metaphor then you would be anti-Christian. Roaring like a lion may represent evil. The “lion” being the devil himself and the “roar” is the doom that will destroy the goals of Christianity… which we all know is to enslave the world in the virtue of the weak.

Thanks Carol, I love how you snuck Lui Eriksson into the “Luxury Selections”
Welcome aboard Richardinson (Carol, you should ask Ek to remove the filter on d ick), decent move by the Canucks to take advantage of their lack of depth. Hopefully his new contract starts with a $2… |

I don't think there's a prayer in hell that Seattle take Holtby. You guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment.
We know they're taking Dreidger. There's a ton of better options available in terms of age, stats, contract status, $$$$, upside, future plans

Yeah, I don’t care what Dhali/Drance say, I don’t believe there are any teams interested in Holtby, at least at full price.

I don't think its stellar but they're better than Holtby. Ideally, they take MacEwen, I think Lind has a higher ceiling and although we lose a much more physical player. Lind, Richardinson and hopefully Gadjo can replace that in the near future. - Brooks_Light
Carol makes a good point about a player like Jasek. Committed in Europe, no need to pay any real money, or have a place to play this season. |

Thanks Carol. As we know in a draft the selection process is based on BPA.
The Krak probably will focus on drafting the majority of their roster based on positional needs. This based on what best players by position are available. Like top 3 centers top 6 D etc. Then from remaining picks take BPA. The balance being available cap.
In both scenarios when it comes to who the Krak will select from Canucks its Holtby who tops the list. I don't think they'll cap themselves so much that they go for an AHL RFA or throw away pick. Remember even Vegas took and used Sbisa.

What happens to the players that dont make the roster? Are they still subject to waivers or off limits. |

Well what Bloated said I am on the opposite side . I as a fan wonder how some think that Canuck problems are unique. I see GMs who are viewed as top GMs buying out players and affecting cap 14 mil per season , or using draft pick to move bad contracts , bad drafting, moving top players out for nothing .
I seen people in here actually complain that Benning didn't trade Sutter after he came off Covid but don't say a word about losing Landeskog or Price for nothing.
We are on pace as a team should be IMO . I am fine with where the team is and where it will be.
