I wonder if Seattle just signs Hamonic and be done with selecting anyone from Canucks.

Makes a lot of sense to take kole lind over a UFA.

Hope of Edvinsson at 9 just took a big hit. Scouts seem really high on him. Doubt he falls.

Hearing there’s a strong possibility Nick Foligno signs in Minnesota and joins his brother Marcus on a short term deal. #Mnwild #Leafsforever

Yeah his style of game won’t age well past 33 years old.

Heavy on the forcheck and heavy use of hitting to recover pucks

Corey Perry was a little like that, and has found a way to adapt his game to remain effective in a less prominent role.

Yeah Perry has been good at it.

But he is making I believe the veteran min

Should be interesting to see how landy’s game ages, and away from arguably the most dominant possession line in the NHL.

Yikes

Looks like the UFA market has normalized again despite the flat cap after the reasonable deals last off-season.

Trading route might be the way to go for upgrades, rather give up assets for reasonable contracts instead of handing out 6 years to bottom 6 players

The levels of desperation from teams towards Stanley cup winners from the previous is insane.

We did it with beagle adding an extra year.

NHL will never change

And an extra schmill

If Beagle had been signed to a 3 year, $6m contract nobody would have said SFA about his contribution the past 3 years.

Really? You mean every player isn’t going to be taking huge discounts because the salary cap is only $81.5m?

Still being said Holtby and Lind to Seattle .

Canucks still strong on Hyman. I think that would make the top 9 very good two way.

Two other names Canucks are interested in are Garland and Bjudstadt.

It's just a bit of an eye-opener after last off-season, but it make sense with gate revenue back in play. I'm just surprised more teams didn't try to take advantage last off-season, maybe backload the contracts to offset the short term revenue loss.

Bjugstadt was just signed, would be funny to see Guerin trade him right after

I'm a big fan of Garland, I could see him taking off if he leaves Arizona, as long as he doesn't end up in Buffalo or Columbus or something like that

Bjudstadt was just signed but unprotected. Side deal to Canucks from Seattle.

Garland can be part of the OEL deal

Ohh interesting. But I think the Richardinson deal kinda kills that rumour, no?

I'd be surprised if Arizona packaged Garland with OEL, I think it's better to sell him separately since there's more bidders then. Packaging them together wipes out most of the league since OEL controls where he goes and is really expensive for teams to take on.
