Ohh interesting. But I think the Richardinson deal kinda kills that rumour, no?

I'd be surprised if Arizona packaged Garland with OEL, I think it's better to sell him separately since there's more bidders then. Packaging them together wipes out most of the league since OEL controls where he goes and is really expensive for teams to take on.

hmmm, I guess one gets moved to W? or is Beagle moved to W or moved into a 13th forward role? I definitely buy JB's interest in him, just unsure about the fit.

I think Canucks go long and they go deep on the Hyman opening .

I think with that type of opportunity they will give it 6 Eight times.

Like other trades that never happened in the past, they could see it as the only way to get out from under OELs real money. 9oa, LE, Beagle, Roussell and something else for OEL and Garland. Then trade Schmidt for something?

Hyman could be our new Burrows, always around the net, smart player, great on the forecheck. Apparently all the Leafs top guns wanted to play with him, he makes life a lot easier for skill players.

Most of the smoke I've seen regarding those 2 is usually in separate deals.

What about the report that he feels healthy and ready to show up for camp next year? I think they move him if they bring in Bjug

I think it'll be a lot more costly than that for the Canucks

Why? What are you giving up for a six year eight mil cap dump?

This rumor has me wondering if the canucks have changed their analytics approach to things. Bjugstad and JD (analytically) are two unreal shot suppression defesensive forwards by metrics. Beagle, roussel, hawryluk, gaudette are not. Highmore had good defensive numbers as well. I'm not really sure if there was any change at all and maybe it's just chance, but it's certainly a contrast from previous forward signings.

They can't afford him unless it's 50% retained, and even then it's more likely they take a run at him next off season with the current cap restrictions. I hope they stay away, OEL is long in the tooth and hasn't been a good defensive dman for years

I'm dead

There is reports Seattle is still seriously considering Price, even with the news he may needs hip and knee surgery

How the literal frank is this even a question for them?

Like how?

Teams are running different scenarios by the league and seeing if they will fly. I heard Montreal asked the league if Seattle could take price, then trade him back at reduced salary for high picks and other players. League shot it down quickly.

That's interesting

montreal would still pay the signing bonuses obviously as he is back on their roster
but they eat like 3 or 4 million for 5 years

if that was even allowed
Montreal would have to trade numerous 1st's

That would be terrible, we lose most of the bad contracts this season, we should get good free agents next season or cheap ones now, like the Toffoli contract Montreal signed.

It's likely a new evolved hybrid approach where we still utilize Benning's scouting ability combined with some analytical research

OEL is still a good player, his contact makes him overpaid, so I'd imagine Arizona is willingly to take on cap in return but then you have to add to make it worthwhile for them

I guess they got tired of 50 shots a night against. So far all moves seems to be towards more of a shut down team .

Well if rumblings about finding another center are true then Beagle seems to be the odd man out .

He definitely has some miles left in the tank but his contract stinks. If I am not getting compensated for taking that burden off their cheap ass owners hand then I am not taking it.
