Doubtful.
Can't see it happening having never played a game for the Rangers.

I don’t think they name a captain right away. Some point this season

Drury has stated that he thinks naming a captain is important, I think it'll be announced opening night with some fanfare

I don't think so

I think 4 years 12 million was ideal for him

6 years 20 million a little excessive but not that much

The Rangers wanted their own Clutterbuck

For a 28 yr old bottom 6 forward who never scored more then 8 goals in a season? All you guys did for years was kill the Isles for overpaying their bottom 6 and now all of a sudden its a good deal??

Goodrow had 4 points in 5 games and averaged 18 mins a night in the fricken Stanley cup final. How is that a 4th line player? I honestly don’t get to hate

Martin had 5 goals in the playoffs two years ago and guess what? He is still a 4th line player. You're really going to use a 5 game slate to judge somebody? Anything to convince yourself it was a good deal I guess

No one said it was a good deal. It’s the cost of a free agent on the open market. He is exactly the player they need. They aren’t paying him to score goals. You can’t convince me it’s a bad deal

I think this is probably the most Islander friendly Ranger blog you can find

you are trying to troll us about arguments you have with other Ranger fans that don't ever take place here

Love the rumored Goodrow signing. I bet he bounces between the 1st line and 3rd with KK and Kravtsov depending on who’s playing well and gets 35+ pts this year.

Yea anywhere around 30 points will be a bonus. It’s everything else he brings. The attitudes, aggressiveness and hard to play against player. He is going to open up space for his line mates. Also a top penalty killer. He is a full 200 foot player. Rangers don’t have many of those

Fernando Pisani scored 14 goals in 24 games in the 2006 playoffs.

He scored 45 goals total over the rest of his career after that.

Remember the time Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl?

So one player means it’s going to happen to Goodrow? Who is to say his offense doesn’t increase playing with the rangers

Lol people act like they are paying him 7 million a year. Did they overpay by a million? Sure but this is exactly the player they need. You can’t convince me it’s bad

I think they overpaid by 700k per season and two years two long.

We shall see the structure of the deal to see how damaging years 5 and 6 are

I may need to take a break. Rangers got a really solid player. The majority of the fan base hates it. The never ending cycle
