I believe Parise will be on this team but if bellows is still here after the expansion draft have to give the kid some looks. - Cptmjl
If they pick a you g player they may go with Otto Koivula. He a big kid had good numbers in BP and plays a 2 way game. GMs love to build from the center out and if he wasn’t on the Islanders he would be on most NHL teams imo. Islanders are real strong down the middle. |

If Parise will leave Mn. he will be an Islander. Lou almost traded for him so if he can acquire him for nothing you have to think they have spoken and Parise is all in on waiting for what Lou will offer after the dust settles. |

I was hoping it had to do with some fun new fact. Like Tennessee being named the sex toy Capital of America by Adam & Eve.
Which wouldn’t in fact surprise me. |

Yes, I figured it out as soon as Chiefs posted that it was a gay joke. I had read about the NHL-er.
By the way, I'm proud of you for coming out in your Beer League. - JohnScammo
Don’t be proud of me I play in a Gay Beer League. |

Well, considering that Seattle doesn't have a roster yet, it's a little tricky. But I think they can negotiate with teams to select certain players as opposed to others. - JohnScammo
They do have draft picks though. And there is a roster freeze (not sure if that's applicable to Seattle though). But I'm sure that they can make their side deals with teams to not take certain players. |

They’re either going Bailey or a young cost controlled player like bellows imo. - Cptmjl
Most of the mock expansion drafts I've seen have them taking Bellows. FWIW. |

He didn't willingly leave MN, he was shown the door and escorted out. But yeah, I think he'll be an Islander for the reasons you stated. |

Well then we stick with our lineup which isn’t such a horrible thing either. If one of Bailey or Eberle don’t go we’re pretty much stuck in the mud due to salary. With that said if there’s a way to potentially improve our lineup and change a face or two I’m definitely open to that. |

While true, the way Lou has been shedding salary, it wouldn't surprise me if he moved out a couple more players to clear the space he needs for what he wants to do. |

100% I’m not saying he doesn’t but unless Seattle takes on one or the other OR we somehow facilitate a trade with another team the numbers don’t work. I’m confident he has a couple of deals in place already but there is the possibility he doesn’t and he’s hoping for Seattle to just do his work for him. We’ll know soon enough… |

That's part of the gamesmanship with the expansion draft, isn't it. Seattle not wanting to help teams with cap problems. |

If Lou could trade Ladd who had no value then I'm sure he can find a way to trade Bailey or Ebs if he wants the cap space. |

I’m gonna make you eat these words after Ladd wins the Butterfield while leading Tucson to the 21/22 Calder Cup. |
