Maybe 5 years from now - habs88888
Vanecek is 25, he's ready. Kahkonen is 24. won't take 5 years.
Primeau is 21. |

Age doesn’t matter I don’t see they have enough games under their belts but we will cross that bridge when we get there |

they don't in the NHL, but they do in the AHL. 4 full seasons for Vanecek. that's what Primeau needs to do.

MB may want him gone (which I doubt), Price has the final word. he himself can decide if he lifts his NMC or not. - fidopro
WRONG--- I meant Seattle---- please don't tell me you think Bergevin wants another asset taken |

They can take Drouin, probably best for everybody. |

I don't know why, I have a strange feeling we will see Drouin in a Habs uniform comes September. didn't think that a month ago. |

Ek said this is INSANE.
Now it's the riskiest EVER.
Maybe you want to tone it down. If Montreal missed the playoffs or lost to Toronto in round 1, the article would be about how Price is about to turn 34. His SV% was an awful .901, ranked 42 among elligible goalies (even Jake Allen was better). His contract is one of the worst in the NHL and it would be a blessing if Seattle takes him. But because he gets hot for a playoff run suddenly he's irreplaceable. Try making decisions on facts rather than emotion.
- Kooleus
Yeah but the facts are he carried them to the SCF. Those are the facts.
I don't want the contract but you cant say make a decision based on facts and then ignore the facts. Right?

Other facts are that he's aging and that 10.5 million in cap space can also make them competitive. I don't see any risk in exposing Price, great clutch goalie and all but freeing up 12.5% of your cap space is worth it. |

Don't worry. I probably won't. But I will enjoy watching the riskiest, most insane game of chicken ever. Boy the media fell for that hook line and sinker. |

Honestly I wonder if Seattle would take him for free. Frees cap space for the Habs, and a free gamble for Seattle that has a much better chance of panning our there than Montreal. |

well, for me Price lifting his NMC seals the deal.
but let say he didn't. I'm not even sure SEA take a chance on Drouin. I think they would have gone with Kulak. |

I'm suggesting we trade Drouin for future considerations. |

you won't get much. that's one of the reasons why I think we may see him in a Habs uniform again. |

Folks, we can talk about this till the cows come home, but it won't change a thing. We'll all see what happens Wednesday. Then we'll find out what Bergevin does from there. I'm hopeful either way, and since 93, good or bad, I'll likely sit back and cheer them on. Here's hoping it goes well. |

Elliotte Friedman on SN960: thinks NYI want to keep Palmieri, price for SEA not to take Giordano is 1st and 3rd round pick, price for SEA not to take Jake Allen was 2nd and a prospect. COL and Grubauer aren't close. Landeskog feels COL didn't get serious fast enough. |
