you won't get much. that's one of the reasons why I think we may see him in a Habs uniform again.

I have some bad good news/bad news people.

They’re not taking Price, and definitely not Drouin.

That is all..

I love Price but I feel people underestimate what all that cap space means! Imagine a minute freeing up Carey’s, Shea’s, and buying out Drouin would mean! All the potential options we could have! I can think of a couple of RFA’s I’d make an offer to…. Svechnikov, Makar, Laine, Dahlin etc… you could even go after lower level RFAs like Copp to replace players leaving!

As long as those players are young enough they can be traded if it doesn’t work out!

Cap space is your friend! It’s an asset!

Last cup we won was in 93! 93!!!!!!

We have to take advantage of poor teams affected by the pandemic! This won’t happen again! Front loaded contracts with huge signing bonuses! Some teams will take the picks instead!

Fidopro, I don't see why it could not just be the fruit of Bergevin thinking that it was in the best interest of the team to take a certain risk about asking Price to lift his NMC. Maybe he told Carey, we can't start next season without you (if hurt) and without Allen, we feel Seattle is unlikely to select you because of the contract, if they select you, you will become the face of the franchise, close to home, and you might be part of something more gratifying, as we will loose Weber and Danault and I don't know if we will be able to compete next year. For us, it would open cap space in the hope for a rebuild that will succeed only when you will unfortunately be in the last years of your career. But, honestly, we want to keep you, and hope they don't select you, as some previous information (Driedger) seems to indicate. Then, Carey lifts his NMC and waits for Wednesday, knowing both scenarios have some positives and some negatives. Wait, is it Wednesday already???

I don't know what is happening, just saying this scenario seems equally probable to me then what you are saying about Price asking to move out and everything being predetermined between Bergevin and Francis (or Frances).

Yup.

I hope he didn’t tell him there’s no way Seattle takes you.
