Subban would come with a sweetener to go with his bad contract (1 year at $9M). The purpose of the trade would be to obtain the sweetener, not because Subban is still good at hockey.

I’ve felt Hamilton was a legit option for the Hawks. Not the right option, but a legit option to happen.

30 goals, 40 assists and 1 Calder Trophy.

I don’t want either, but I’d be more concerned that he trades for Jones than he signs Hamilton. At least Hamilton costs you nothing but old man Wirtz’s not so hard earned cash.
