I would actually prefer Landeskog but he’s not an 8-10 million per player at the age of 30. I would take a chance on tarasenko. I believe we wouldn’t do it unless Lou was 100% sure he was good to go. - Cptmjl
I’d prefer Landeskog too. Especially knowing he’s healthy vs the injury risk with Tarasenko. |

I like how you defend your stupidity. The salary cap hasn’t gone down. Either they’re bad contracts and Lou looks bad or they’re great contracts and Lou is your hero. Cool hot pockets comment tho. Makes total sense - BringNYIhome
Bailey's contract was negotiated by Snow, not Lou. |

St. Louis won a Cup with him, so presumably he's not terrible. But I admit I don't see many St. Louis games. - JohnScammo
I’m just saying Trotz puts a lot of value in guys playing both sides of the puck. I could be wrong but snipers generally aren’t concerned about their own end all that much. |

Pat Maroon on @spittinchiclets talking about the #isles:
“I woke up from my (pre Game7) nap pretty nervous. We won 1-0, that game could’ve went either way. I think that was the best series I played this playoffs. Long Island is very good. Top players were going head to head.”
Maroon continued: “They rolled all four lines, we rolled all four lines. It was a good battle. I would say that’s the most nervous I’ve been in a long time. I didn’t have any of those moments in the past two years.” #isles
Maroon talking about #isles fans:
“Idk what they say, they just f***in chant the whole time. I was out there, I got the puck and my hands were shaking. It makes you kind of nervous. It was f***in very loud in there.” |

Interesting point. Not sure how accurate it is, but I think there's something to it. On the other hand, Trotz taught Ovi to play the defensive side, so it IS possible. |

Alex Killorn on #isles fans:
“On the Island the fans are right in top of you, chanting all the time, every single one of them is giving you the double middle finger. Doesn’t matter if they’re 3 years old to 80, everyone’s giving the double middle fingers. They’re passionate.” |

100% on Trotz w Ovi. But we could have had Wahlstrom in the lineup during the playoffs but Trotz chose the multi lingual Russian and the aging Zajac over his sniping ability. Who knows what the’ll do. I guess I’d be a bit surprised if they go after Tarasenko. |

Just throwing some stuff out from Twitter
There is talks that #SeaKraken and #Isles have been discussing a deal where Eberle is taken in Expansion Draft. Komarov or Hickey may join him as well.
Nothing concrete.
Would be another strong move by GM Lamoriello to create even more cap space if this comes to fruition. |

It would also solidify the notion that he’s looking to add quite a bit. |

For the record, he wasn't talking about me. I only give single middle fingers to Isles' opponents. |

Well yeah but what’s the plan? If he uses the cap space and improves the roster than it’s a positive, but if you can get a 2nd round pick for Nick Leddy, you can certainly get a 2nd or a 3rd for Ebs and Bails. Why expose them and protect guys like Cal and Martin who Seattle would be doing us a favor by taking. It’s nonsense. And an admission of guilt that you gave out two bad contracts - BringNYIhome
I don’t think Lou and you see eye to eye on that. |

Multi lingual players could be very useful to expansion teams, since they never know where their next player hails from. |

I hope Seattle realizes how valuable a guy like Hickey would be in terms of depth on D. |

Well Parises skating coach Diane Ness is rejoining Lou from Minnesota and was with him in jersey so Parise to isles looking more credible. He would be a great 3rd line guy as he can still score especially on the pp |

Besides the fact that losing their salary would have minimal impact and not help with anything that Lameriello wants to do. Having a hard time why some are having a hard time grasping this? |

Would be shocked if id did not happen. I like the idea of Parise on the 3rd line with JGP . |
