Does Kraken have to pick from teams in a specific order, alphabetically by team name for example? Or can they start their picks from any team in any order? - TogaIsles
I'm not sure but I think they just submit a list to the league as to which player they took from each team. Of course any trades (protective deals) they make has to go through the league for approval to ensure they are following the rules. |

Just looked it up, selections must be in by 10am ET today. So it doesn’t matter which order they pick players. And that must mean deals are in place at that time too I’m guessing. |

I would actually prefer Landeskog but he’s not an 8-10 million per player at the age of 30. I would take a chance on tarasenko. I believe we wouldn’t do it unless Lou was 100% sure he was good to go. - Cptmjl
Seeking an answer to that question, The Athletic went directly to Dr. Peter Millett, the physician who performed Tarasenko’s third shoulder surgery last summer. He is a shoulder and sports medicine specialist at the Steadman Clinic in Edwards, Colo., and his list of patients includes Christian McCaffrey and Colin Kaepernick (NFL); Josh Anderson, Yanni Gourde, Max Domi, Erik Johnson and Nikita Zadorov (NHL); and Lewis Hamilton (Formula 1).
It’s been 11 months since Millett operated on Tarasenko, who recently spent eight days at Steadman preparing for the 2021-22 season. He said the player’s left shoulder is “rock solid.”
“Vlad’s shoulder is very stable and strong,” Millett said in an exclusive interview. “He told me it is more stable and stronger than it has felt in a long while. To me, it feels rock solid. There is no doubt, Vlad will be 100 percent ready for the upcoming season. I am confident
he will be ready to play and that he will make a big impact for his team.” |

I assume you want tarasenko?
Seems like a player you would be willing to roll the dice on… |

I would bc he's a legit goal scorer when healthy, plus only 2 more yrs left on term

At this point I would like to see one of Landeskog or tarasenko on this team. Probably won’t get Landeskog because of his reported salary aspirations so I’m fine with tarasenko. |

Tarasenko would seem like a good gamble for two years. Wonder what the Isles would have to give up? |

As mentioned before I see Bolduc getting a long look at training camp - Hockeyislife
I don't disagree that he will get a long look but there is no way he is going to be in NHL to start season .. IMO. I don't see Trotz having a guy with less than a full season in AHL on the big club. could see them call him up mid season if they love him.. but doubt that too.
I think we will have another D-man on the team. There are a bunch of interesting UFA's on the market
Suter, Savard, Montour, Gudbranson, Hjalmarsson, Murray, Yandle, Hamilton, Barrie, Martinez, etc.

Personally I still would love if the Isles signed Tony D' Angelo the second the Rangers buy him out.. He is good and would be insanely fired up to play every game against the Rangers.
If we trade for anyone .. I still vote for Seth Jones first. |

Lou and Barry do seem to trust young defensemen more than young forwards at least in Dobson's case. Still very surprising if Bolduc starts the year on the Isles. |

Suter, Martinez, or Goligoski would be nice pickup's. |

Oleksiak and Adam Larsson signing with Seattle. Oleksiak was a good candidate to fill Leddy's spot. So those are the selections from DAL and EDM now. |

I haven't followed the rules too closely, but can Seattle just get first crack at signing any UFA they want before other teams (besides the the player's current team) can even talk to them?
edit -- wait...I guess you're saying that counts as their expansion draft selection for those teams then? |

possible that lou exposed both bailey and eberle because seattle wasn't sure at the time who they would prefer before seeing the rest of the players exposed and filling out the rest of their roster? they are two very different players with a similar contract. obviously more would have to be involved if lou was to give them the option of two top 6 forwards.
really just trying to make sense of the whole situation. |

They had an early window to exclusively negotiate with pending UFA's. If they were to sign one of them (like they're doing with those two) they count as the selection from their current team.
So, hypothetically, if they sign Cizikas they wouldn't be able to select anyone else from the Isles. |

Seattle roster and UFA/RFA signing due in 20min. Roster isn't announced until 8pm tonight....I don't remember if it happened last time around, but I wonder if we start to see some of the selections leak out during the day. |

Well I mean from legitimate sources. Not "blogs" with 113 followers on Twitter that claim to have a "source"
So far looks like Frank Seravalli is the guy throwing the most news out there. Broke the Oleksiak/Larsson signings and is now saying Seattle is likely taking Gourde from Tampa. Happy to see him head to the Western Conference, he's a scrappy little bastard. |
