Losing Larsson is a HUGE blow to the Oilers blue line. - Wildschwein
Hits just keep coming for that team. They are the Buffalo Sabres west. |

Bring back the 80's with the Islanders and Oilers dominating the NHL. |

What are the Islanders giving up to get McDavid. It's a matter of time before he wants out. Have to be a fool to stay there. |

At this point I would like to see one of Landeskog or tarasenko on this team. Probably won’t get Landeskog because of his reported salary aspirations so I’m fine with tarasenko. - Cptmjl
Tarasenko on the right side of Barzal and Lee would be the isles best line maybe ever. If that guys shoulder is ok, the isles PP would be deadly (with a healthy Lee setting up shop in front of the net). |

Tampa is going to be losing players pretty quickly as well. |

Wahlstrom. 1 for 1. Admittedly an overpayment on Lou’s end, but maybe he can convince Holland to add a second round pick? |

Nothing. He's got a cap hit of $12.5m for the next 5 years. That's a lot tied up in one player. One hell of a player, but I think the ask would be astronomical. |

Bossy and Trotts would disagree. |

Maybe the same way Snowballs had a job all those years. |

Yeah I get it. Different game now though. Tough to even compare. But I get it |

It's very difficult for the Oilers as they are not a prime FA destination. They really need to beef up on scouting and hit on their drafts. Hope it turns around soon for the Oilers. |

Johnston for McDavid straight up. Holland will make it happen. |

Now I know this won't happen, AT ALL, but how cool would it be if Lou landed both Landy and Tarasenko? Imagine the line combos with both of those. |

As an isles fan and enduring 3 decades of absolute sh!t I can’t even believe the position the organization is in. They’re in the drivers seat for sure. Super exciting knowing Lou is freeing up money to add players who are FINALLY listing the isles as a destination. |

The #Isles Twitter panic over possibly losing Bailey is hilarious. You'd think the guy was a Hart finalist.... |

Given the history and the reports that Lou already tried twice, I think you see Parise coming to the isles for the 3rd line. |

Gotta admit, Bailey, when given a role, was exponentially better the last three years. |

Quite comical, would like Bailey shipped to moon and never hear that dumb Bailey song again! |

Islanders have close to 30 million of cap space coming off the books next season. We can sign whoever we want. I am linking every big name out there to the islanders |

No, but he's a versatile player that can play all over the lineup and plays PP/PK. Plus a leader in the room. I like Eberle a lot but I'd much rather him leave, if I have to choose between the two. |

I’d rather Lou sign one of Landeskog, or Tarasenko and go after Suter. Add Parise and I think we see our fist cup since the 80s |
