As an isles fan and enduring 3 decades of absolute sh!t I can’t even believe the position the organization is in. They’re in the drivers seat for sure. Super exciting knowing Lou is freeing up money to add players who are FINALLY listing the isles as a destination. - kindlyrick
I hear you, but to add to your sentiment, It's amazing that in the last 3 years they've been to the conference finals twice and a second round round exit. We've got a new building opening this year(?). And yes, we might finally be getting looked at as a place to play by free agents. Great time to be an Isles fan. |

Happy about this, Tanev is a bastard to play against

Early word is #SeaKraken have zeroed in on Brandon Tanev from the #pens.
Kraken already unfolding as tough to play against. With Brandon in the Kraken fold, looking forward to potential Tanev v. Tanev brother matchups in the Pacific. |

No, but he's a versatile player that can play all over the lineup and plays PP/PK. Plus a leader in the room. I like Eberle a lot but I'd much rather him leave, if I have to choose between the two. - eichiefs9
100%, and Eberle’s spot is what Lou is apparently trying to replace. |

I’ll add to your post that the cherry on top was Tavares chosing the leafs “last minute” as he thought they had the better chance to win. Oh the irony.

Man, Seravalli is all over the place. Is he actually a fly inside of Seattle's war room? |

He's typically been pretty plugged in. He worked for TSN for quite awhile. He was the one who broke the Pageau trade/signing. |

I keep hearing his name on Siriusxm NHL station. He seems to be standing right next to Ron Francis. |

The #Isles Twitter panic over possibly losing Bailey is hilarious. You'd think the guy was a Hart finalist.... - keaner17
I've liked Bailey the last two years especially in the playoffs but no panic if he is lost to Seattle. |

Bailey needed a defined role which he got under Trotz. This team was a mess with him from his draft year up until Trotz took over. Drafted as a playmaking center, moved to the wing, then to the bottom six. I think that absolutely hindered his developement. Now, Bailey shows flashes of brilliance with the puck and occasionally snipes. |

Oh, I'll agree that I'd prefer we keep Bailey over Eberle and I'm not entirely convinced we'll lose either, but this is entertaining.
We all know what Bailey is and isn't, but the sudden canonization is pure gold. Even better than the PA worship when we let him get away.... |

He always did that. The problem was that he would show you these glimpses and then disapoear for 10 games. He's an extremely skilled player who tends to overthink his game. That leads to some amazing passes and terrible giveawayss. I personally hope he stays, but I don't think his potential departure hurts near as much as some think. |

I don't think there's any canonization at all, but he's a valuable player that a lot of fans would prefer not to lose.
Guy is a career .70ppg player in the playoffs, that's not easily replaceable. .80ppg in the last three trips to the playoffs under Trotz. |

Seattle roster and UFA/RFA signing due in 20min. Roster isn't announced until 8pm tonight....I don't remember if it happened last time around, but I wonder if we start to see some of the selections leak out during the day. - eichiefs9
Last time a rumor did leak the that the Knights were going to take J.F. Berube. I'm pretty sure everyone thought it was BS. Maybe someone was starting a prosperous rumor to troll everyone and it turn out to be true. |

We heard similar statements made about PA's stat line and even Brad Boyes. i think we can safely assume that if Lou is going to let him go, which is still a huge if, it will be for an upgrade |

Barry has been huge for Bailey. Bailey is still very frustrating but I'd rather lose Eberle. Bailey brings more to the team. |

His stay was short-lived in Toronto. The #SeaKraken will be selecting Jared McCann from the #Leafs.
The end result: Toronto traded prospect Filip Hallander and a 7th round pick to Pittsburgh to essentially protect their roster from Seattle.

I don't recall ever hearing similar statements about Parenteau or Brad Boyes being near-PPG playoff performers. Comparing Bailey to those two is nonsense. |
