Oilers had multiple offers on the table for Larsson, including a 4 and 5 year term. Sense is this wasn't a decision made based on the Oilers being out-bid. Likely Larsson deciding on a change of scenery

I dont think, with the parameters set up by the league, that expansion teams have it tough to have strong first years. Kraken will be good I think

Larsson took a lesser offer to not be in Edmonton. Just wondering how long until the poopty weather, mediocre city, lack of playoffs, and poor roster finally break McDavid.

It's not panic at all. If the recent history of Vegas has taught us anything, it's that expansion teams are essentially handed very good rosters on golden platters. With the canucks team not changing that much so far (sutter and edler out, JD in), it's hard to imagine the team beating them in the overall standings as of right now is all. Krakens roster has pretty much been fully leaked at this point as well, with trades to come.

I want to wait until petey and Quinn are signed so we know how much $ we have to work with. Everyone predicted holtby and his cap would go, and now it's staying, so we have even less room to work with. But again, we lose edler, hamonic, sutter, but we still have LE, virtanen, Beagle, roussel. Lots of $ tied up in bad players still

Would you rather have Barrie at 50 points per year (plus Keith) or keep Larsson to be injured all the time for 5 more years. It's actually a good thing Larsson moved on from the Oil. Past few seasons he's battled a few nagging injuries too.
