Marc Bergevin on Shea Weber: "I'm not counting on his presence in the lineup next season."

Marc Bergevin says Shea Weber has several injuries (ankle, foot, knee, thumb). "Even missing a practice for him wasn't an option. He has a lot of mileage...He won't be back next season, and probably won't be back for his career."

They don't act like it.

I thought it was universally known that our team needs to improve the d-core and bottom six to take pressure off of the top two lines and goaltending. Once again excellent goaltending and some solid play by young talent has covered up a lot of problems with JBs roster.

That post by Lebrun makes absolutely no sense to me.

Sounds like tomorrow

Ryan Strome to Seattle for Giordano and Blackwell. Upgraded scoring for Seattle.

Why would they put Gio in a jersey and bring him out on stage if they were just going to trade him?

They brought the owner out to announce Kole Lind so nothing would surprise me.

I mean, if they're thinking of going with JTM as the 3rd line center, I guess I see why they want 2 top 9 forwards...?

X Petey Boes
Pears Bo Hoglander
X JTM Podkolzin

But their D would be so massively underwhelming.. somehow worse than the last couple seasons.

I thought it was pretty clear Dickinson will be the 3C

It felt like they were hoping the pick from Van would bring some hype given that they want a rivalry, but when the guy has barely played in the NHL, it didn't really move the needle

Seems like mixed messages to the fanbase right out the gate. I'm skeptical they want to move him.

Be interesting to see how many trades Seattle has in place, some believe it could be around 6. Will guys like Tyler Pitlick, Jared McCann, or even Yanni Gourde be on the move? #seakraken

Wishing all the best to Matt Calvert, who has announced his NHL retirement after 10 seasons that included 566 regular-season games and 32 playoff games.

That's too bad injuries shortened his career by a few years probably.

A kid I knew and trained with at the local YMCA in Brandon. Didn't know him on a personal level. We just had the same trainer for a period of time. Chat while working out and such. Walk on to the Wheat Kings turned into a 10 year NHL Career. Not the biggest guy but nobody out worked him.

Seattle picked 8 LHD. Could have picked a better center from a team but didn't.

I'm sort of hoping that Holtby (salary retained) for one of those LHD. Realistically and preferably Carson Soucy but Haydn Fluery or Lauzon would do fine for a return.

Doubt Holtby retained fetches any of those players by himself.

I'm saying I believe the guys they had physically there at the event are guys I don't expect them to trade.

I think we probably have a bit of a different value on Holtby and those D men.

I'm just guessing off that list what two top 9 forwards would mean.

I think we all assume Dichinson will be 3C, but never really know with this team

Yotes fans liked him(I know there's only like 5 of them but the ones on HF said he was a good 4th liner, one of the few who gave apoop on that team)

Looks like Hyman to the Oilers either

7x 5.5 or
8x5

Will be nice for the first few years, but Holland knows he'll be on a beach or in a cabin somewhere so he won't have to worry about when it gets ugly

I'd love to take a stab at vlad t - he's russian (JB wants) and only 29 and could bounce back. Do 25% retained and send them a mid/late draft pick. Or send them JV as well.

Taresenko - EP - Hoglander
Pearson - Bo - BB
