est-ce que la liste soumise ce matin sera publique ou on doit attendre ce soir?

Si non, doit-on s'attendre à des leaks? Je ne me souviens plus du repêchage de Vegas, haha

I think you’re the only person i know who is totally at peace about the possibility of losing Price for nothing (but cap space of course)
- Karine Hains

Really? So there is only 1 person at peace with losing Price. If I was a Habs fan I'd be in the camp of begging for that to happen. Please, please, take away this $10.5M albatross for a goalie already in serious decline. Can't believe you think that is a minority view. But don't worry. Next season you'll be starting with Allen and Price on IR...Seattle isn't this stupid.

forgive them for they know not what they do.....you don't MISS an ELITE goalie until he is no longer your goalie.....losing price would be a huge deal....we saw what he can do last month (s)...no way do I want him to go to the Kraken....

Price is the main reason why the team reached the SCF this season. Something that did not happen since 1993.

Allen is a great back up but a back up. Primeau is not ready to be a starter either.

Pretty easy to understand.

That being said, losing Cale Fleury would suck as well. There's noting on the right side for mtl after Petry, if Weber and Fleury are gone.

Not surprised they are targetting Risto, even if Habs fans say he sucks, like they always do.

Sabres fans also say he sucks. ESPN Buffalo hosts were hoping he gets taken in expansion just to get rid of him but then said at minimum not to resign the guy. I gotta ask these people who want him, have you watched the guy play at all or even recently? He's not good. He really isn't

to be fair, I did not, but the same people were crapping on edmundson and Chariot.

And the thing is this : most of the time, you get to pick between a stay at home who does not get many points and somebody who does, but sucks more in his own zone.

And he plays for Buffalo so.....

If you take the time to look on the market for RHD, you will notice there's not a lot of options there.

Just because the market doesn't have options you like it doesn't mean it's a good idea to force something. I'm old enough to remember how that resulted in Alzner

I think they should grow Romanov into that 2 way role. Give him pp times, etc.

Maybe the top 4 will be weaker, but maybe it could be better balanced.

Oh, I remember. And I offer a solution right under your post.

+, there is a few options as UFAS, but they may not put a ton of points. Like it or not, they will need d to play on the right side.

I've said a few times I'd rather put Romanov on his off side and play with what the Habs have than to bring in a piece just to bring in a piece. If this year ends up a write off but puts the Habs on firm footing moving forward I'm ok with that

et après ça c'est le repêchage annuel, puis peu après les joueurs autonomes. Il y a déjà eu quelques échanges et je ne pense pas que ce soit terminé. Un peu fou.

meh, put him on his off side and maybe screw him up? not really

They are guys out there, whether Larson, Savard or Dumba. You can't tell me none of them can play at this level.

I'm not interested in overpaying Larson or Savard to not replace Weber on either end and based on buying out guys to protect Dumba my guess is he's either not available or super expensive. Guys have played their offside for generations without (frank)ing them up so I'm not worried

What day are we? Is it wednesday yet?

I want to offer my take on the exposed Price situation. I think there is two way of seeing it.

The first is that if the Kraken takes Price, its going to alleviate the cap for Montréal and it is unlikely that Price lives up to the albatros contract he signed. Price is getting older, is hurt and was very ordinary in last regular seasons. So, him getting off the books would be a good thing. No way Seattle is picking him though.

The other way of seeing it is that Price is the most successful goalie in recent habs history, he was elite in playoffs, he probably asked to be moved as no gm would expose his Mercedes to protect his Lada backup goalie. He will be missed and will be extremely difficult to replace. Seattle picking him would make the habs regress and is a bad thing. The second he was left exposed, the decision to select him was made by Francis.

I thought i would add those precisions to the debate. I think it's not all angles of the situation that has been covered by our informed community.

What do you all think? Id like to know your opinions on the subject.

I think Fleury is their pick. Could go Kulak as well.

Too much of a gamble for them with his health.
