I'm a bit surprised at Soucy over Kahkonen. I figured a few teams would have made a side deal asking Ronnee Frances to take Kahkonen and then flip him their way. Maybe one of Ek's league-wide sources can confirm if a side deal was made to take Soucy.

Pretty insane that Price, Tarasenko, Domi, JVR, Voracek, etc...were all passed over. It's almost as if Ronnee Frances covets cap space over awful contracts. Most media "experts" got that dead wrong...

I can't believe NYR acquired Goodrow for a 7th round pick. As Ek said, that is insane. He's better than most of Seattle's other forwards. Frances should have offered a 6th or even a 5th.

Goaltending and D won’t be bad but it looks like they’ll have trouble scoring.

The amount of leaks today absolutely has ruined the whole draft tonight.

I guess it will be cool to the casual Seattle fan but the “insiders” have done a pretty solid disservice to the nhl today.
