I don’t see why we’d have to do that. Eberle is more than a capable player and on a team with no cap issues whatsoever he’s a great add at a decent salary. - potvin05
We'd have to do it if Lou thought Francis was going to take Bailey instead and he didn't want to lose him. Or someone else he didn't want to lose. |

#Isles have cleared $16.5-million in cap space the last five days. Gave up some capital to do it, but Lou Lamoriello has room to maneuver now. |

After all the Price chatter, which Habs player actually got taken?
And, I still can’t believe the Pens exposed Tanev. That’s a big hit for then imo - potvin05

They'd have probably made the final at least once in the last two years if they didn't run into the Tampa buzzsaw. Tampa won't be the same team and really nobody else in the East is any sort of guarantee to beat them.
Not claiming they'll be anyone's preseason favorite to win the Cup, but they've done a pretty good job of stuffing the skepticism right down everyone's throat the last three years. - eichiefs9
Let’s see what Lou does with all the cap space. I can’t stand Parise. I don’t think he’d be a good add. Lee back will make a difference but I still think they need more punch up front and I don’t agree Suter would be better than Leddy. Maybe some cap savings though. |

This goes back to my earlier post from this morning. Then why expose him? I think there’s more to the story I have no idea what it is but it doesn’t make sense. |

Maybe I’m in the minority but I’m happy they didn’t take Bellows or Koivula. They are both assets regardless of their status on the roster. |

I'd be fine if Bellows got a good look as 3LW. I'm thinking that will be Parise though. Barry does not seem to be a fan of Bellows at all. |

No guarantee Lou didn't send one of them to Seattle yet. Trades can be announced when the freeze lifts at 1pm tomorrow. |

Defensively it's not even close. Leddy was terrible in his own end. They'll miss his skating and offense for sure but Suter who isn't the horse he was in his prime is still much better in his own end at 36 then Leddy is now.

So in theory:
Pelech 5 years $5m
Beau 4 years $4m
Cizikas 4 years $3m
Sorokin around $3m
That leaves about $8.5m for Palmieri, Parise and a dman.
Perhaps we can unload Leo's salary somehow, but I have my doubts Lou even wants to do that. So much still to figure out
Still wiuld love to see us get Taresenko, but I don't see how we can fit him unless we let Casey or Palmieri go |

- Pick 10, Buchnevich, Chytil, and Jones (or Robertson) to Buffalo for Eichel #NYR
few people sent this to me but I don't see it by any TSN guys yet.. so hopefully it's b.s. would think they would have to send Laf or Kakko to get him .. or Miller |

Meh, if it gets us Landy I think I'd be ok with it. That is if Uncle Leo was moved first. |

I like Landeskog but am not as enamored as most, considering the term and ask.
If Taresenko is indeed healthy, I'd much prefer him, but that's a big 'if'. I have a feeking we'll get neither. |

I honestly wouldn't be shocked. Watch Lou trade him for Tarasenko.

Tarasenko career is over. Any gm that trades for him should be fired immediately. 4 shoulder surgeries. He is finished |

I'd be good with either. I agree the term & $$$ for Landy would be pretty steep. |
