Seravalli tweeted about Kuzy and the Rags, but didn't mention anything here. Hm. - Blackstrom2
Biz had a hysterical jab at Seravalli after Seravalli leaked the Kracken's draft list:

Hextall: "We do feel like we have enough candidates in-house that certainly can fill a number of the spots. But we will look outside and see what we can find, whether it's through trades, or free agency."

Kassian is a joke. No. You can't call tanev a 4th liner anymore than you can call mccann a 2nd liner RW. Bottom line is this team lost 2 top 9 forwards that were actually contributing something for nothing. Hextall says this team won't be much different next season, how so idiot? |

I wonder if they're leaning towards Poulin and/or Hallander making up the 4th line... |

I also wonder how much of this is lip service from Hextall.

So how nervous are you guys about the moves he’s gonna make in the next week? |

He is the opposite of Rutherford in this regard. Jim would have told you exactly who and what he is trying to do. Ron won't do anything like that. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if he retained the RFA’s and resigned Ceci and headed straight to training camp. Isn’t that his MO? Basically do nothing. Isn’t that why Philly dropped him? |

Very since we have no precedent. JR had tunnel vision and would move heaven and earth to execute his agenda, but we don't know if Hextall will do the same.
I can't see him limping in unless they've made the decision to let the team run its course. |

I can’t say I hate the idea of Kassian playing with Jeff Carter. Will say I like the idea of Tanev playing with Jeff Carter much more. |

Less nervous but also less excited than when JR was in town. I don't think Hextall will make any terrible decisions, but I also don't expect him to make any kind of big splash with a big risk/reward factor attached.

Sounds like that’s what he was saying. Tans and McCann had to go to get comfortably under the cap. There’s no room to sign an impact FA. So hopefully some prospects will pan out. |

They should make a big splash though. At this point you either go all in or just let the team run its course by filling the spots with plugs. You can't do this half-way.

If this team hinges on the success of Hallander, Poulin, Zahorna and re-signing Gaudreau and ERod then we've officially seen the end of this team. |

At the very least 1 or 2 salary out salary in type trades to shake up the roster construction a bit. And maybe a bargain bin day 5 UFA. |

Hextall - “we can visit the free agent market but I don’t suspect there will be a top player that’s going to fit under the cap. We’re going to do everything we can to put the best team on the ice, whether it’s internal or external.”
Sounds like he is going to do nothing. |

I think that's the most realistic, but obviously that depends on what Hextall things that reconstruction should look like. If it means Zucker/Pettersson out and Kassian/Zadorov in then no thank you.

I think he wants those guy to fill out the bottom 6. I'm pretty sure he recognizes they have a need for another offensive middle 6 winger, he just doesn't have the room to do it. Also, from everything all the beats have said, he is getting another goalie. |

If he can flip Jarry for either Lehner or Kuemper then I'd consider that a win.

Apparently there’s very little interest in him. I imagine pretty cheap. |
