Couldn’t agree more. They actually need to take this 2nd round pick seriously instead of just guessing like usual. Hopefully they feel the same we do!

Penguins have re-signed Kasper Bjorkqvist to a one-year deal worth $750,00 at the NHL level.

Not big news, but he's someone who could be a solid 4th liner for the Pens.

AZ didn't have a bad trade though. They're finally doing poop right. They have five 2nd round picks in next year's draft which is supposed to be a deep draft.

Yeah if you are committed to a rebuild, Garlund is pretty good, but not great and 25. 9th overall fits in better if you're not pushing the next few years and they will have really cleared up their cap space.

Yeah. Players entering their prime at the beginning of a rebuild really have place no your team; they'll be on their decline by the team you start fighting for a playoff spot.

Solid player and I'd argue a 9th overall is an overpayment, so IMO AZ made out like bandits.

Hoping they pick up some picks for today for Zucker and/or Pettersson as is rumored. Trade back makes sense unless they have someone in that range they really like.

Yeah, that's along the lines that I was thinking. I think between Hallander and Bjorqvist, one of them will make the team.
