What does Vegas' left blue line look like? - Victoro311
Theodore (plays both) McNabb Hague … and if they resign Martinez him as well |

Yeah that's my point. We don't have that. - Victoro311
Maybe the Thrill is available for a reunion. |

Pens could use a 3rd line RW. If a prospect emerges, it's more likely on the left side where Poulin, O'Connor, and Zohorna all are apparently most comfortable. I think if they kept Gaudreau, I'd have him anchor the 4C spot to start so any prospects that do break in have a competent center |

I get to 80.25 with Saad at 5 million and a 2m FA Dman. 18 skaters and 2 goalies. Work some WBS magic to send guys down to shave the daily cap charge, Malkins LTIR gets you through any cap trouble through the first half of the season. Regular IR which is practically a guaranteed can bank some more daily cap as well - TheGame316
Oh so your plan is a 20 man roster. That will work. |

Don’t they need Theodore on the right side? How good is Hague? Martinez is pretty old and a UFA. |

I think I'm the only person who thinks Legare has a legit shot at making the roster. He was really impressive in his camps with us and has shown an understanding of the game that lets him work well with high end players. He really never had much talent around him in his junior days.
I think him and Hallander are the closest prospects to making it. |

I’m with you - I think a Petts/MAF swap sounds decent. Just listing the NHLers who can play LD |

I’d be calling anyone who lost decent LD and offering petts. He seems to be decently regarded outside of Pitt. I saw a lot of comments in disbelief tanev was taken over petts. Vegas, St Louis, Dallas, Calgary. Someone might have a decent swap. |

This would be my nightmare. Him and Deslauries just taking dumb ass penalties one after another. |

WBS is so close, I’d run it lean on off days and on Home Games

Goodrow I'd say is better defensively than Tanev, but yeah, pretty much as equal of an overpayment for a guy who runs around and hits people. - Rinosaur
The NHL went extremely soft for awhile. Kids are taught to be nice to each other on the ice so there isn’t exactly a pipeline of guys that can constantly be a physical presence and contribute offensively. That’s why guys like goodrow and Tanev are sought after right now. |

When I heard that he might be moved, the first thing I thought of was us moving Zucker there for him and hopefully a good pick or prospect. As much as I like Zucker, I would be all for something like this. |

I didn't mean in something I hope would happen, but I can see it happening. LAK wants another top-six, so I could see a trade sending Zucker to LA for him and a pick.

I was being sarcastic. That won't work. Teams have tried. Eventually you end up playing down a player or two or running 5 defensemen. |

I thought he was on a great line the year we drafted him when he had 40 goals. Was described as a passenger on that line but one who could finish at a high level.
I'll happily eat crow if he does, just sounds like a guy that will need to work on his all around game to get a spot in Sully's line-up. |

Still got 1.25 in space. Do it at the start of the season and it’ll pile up, throw in some inevitable regular IR and there will be plenty for when the games matter
The teams that get screwed are the teams already over and are doing it to stay compliant

I’ve seen people say that hallander is far and away our #1 prospect now, n probably still needs some time in wbs. Hope legare & poulin pan out, but either of them making an impact this year seems like extremely wishful thinking. I’d be glad to be wrong tho. |

I definitely wouldn't be shocked if he is in Wilkes all season, but after Rust and Kap we don't have anyone signed to play RW. I think if there is ever a time for a young incomplete player to get NHL time it's probably this season. |

My hope for him this year is more that he has a good enough year in WBS to push for a spot next year when Rust leaves. This year, I see what you do, they need to add a RW. |
