The news from Brooks makes me think of childhood…

The times when someone would break your toy, and theyd fix it very minimally to make it look presentable and unbroken. Its held a very specific way so it doesnt break and looks good. However, totally gonna break in 3 seconds once handed over. Then its like NOPE! You broke it!! It was in your hand!! No take backs!!

Part of me wants trades, part of me is scared of trades. All the guys were rumored to be in on I want no part of besides Soucy.

A few points I would like to make before all Hell breaks loose later today:

1) A big shout out and thanks to Jan for doing another mock draft! It is a great PITA and drain on his time, yet he does it for our collective pleasure and as a way to pass the time in the summer.

2) Chris Drury was previously described as a man who kept his cards close to the vest and stayed quiet. This appears to be very true in the early weeks of his tenure. The rumors involving the Rangers have been outlandish ( see Carp ) because Drury really seems to limit what leaks out. NOBODY reputable seems to have ANY idea what the Rangers are going to do next. That is frustrating to us as fans, but it probably is better for the team in the long run.

3) I am Finnegan!

It’s insane and mind boggling at the same time. My guess is no one they exposed moved the needle so they basically said F it, let’s save the cap space and take on a dead contract for picks instead.
