NJ should be the ones sending back picks, a ghost-type deal lol - Pat1993
That's what I was saying. NJ eats half the contract and sends a pick or two and maybe. Maybe. |

I can see there's some sort of logic to this madness but I hope Bergevin doesn't go that route and finds something more interesting - Pat1993
like nikita zadorov interesting? or calvin de haan interesting? |

Or how about expanding the deal to see if Jersey would include Myles Wood! We need another LW! |

Zadorov can't skate. handles the puck like alive grenade. can't pass. makes gus look like a hockey savant at times/ so no, he is not solid.
the hawks were in a position that no matter who seattle took, it was irrelevant. all their youngers guys were exempt aside from hagel. in reality, murphy was the only d-man truly worth of protection but i get why they protected stillman and jones. |

I’d take all of PK’s contract provided they take another contract back! I like Byron he’s got 3 years remaining! - andrest
I wouldn't see Byron as a cap dump. He was stellar in the playoffs and still very effective when he's not scoring. PK is a creative idea, but between the fact he wasn't liked (I know for a fact Gallagher doesnt like him) and seemingly more focused on being a celebrity than hockey it's a pass imo unless NJ retains salary and gives him for nothing. |

i didn't even mention him getting knocked off the puck fairly easily for such a big guy. he does make the occasional nice hit but sadly, it involves him being woefully out of position to do it most times. |

I was thinking reacquire Fleury for the bottom pairing. |

Like I said… I like Byron! But we’ll have to pay Suzuki next year and don’t forget we’ll have to replace Danault. Unloading Byron as part of the Subban trade frees up money cause PK is only there for a year. |

i think they felt like he was never gonna turn it around here for some reason and just wanted that cap space back.
