3M for a starting goalie isn't bad.
3M for a back up isn't the end of the world - mr.peanut

Interesting idea but there is no way in hell MB would go down that route. The leadership that he has in place appears to be his pride and joy and now that he’s got it where he wants it, there’s no way he’s getting a guy who will upset the balance that much back. I still have hope the Habs may manage to swing a trade with Seattle for Vince Dunn and sign him to a good contract.
And I don’t know who it was who said that Caufield replaces the scoring from Tatar and others but the point is to get more scoring, not just what we got last year so yes Caufiled brings more scoring but we want even more. - Karine Hains
MB and PK’s feud started the fist time PK was an RFA. He played hard ball with PK because he didn’t have arbitration rights! PK remembered and the second time PK was an RFA he cashed in! Didn’t give him a choice like MB didn’t give him the 1st time. I’m not a PK fan because he tried to show up the Habs! After a couple of trades… I think he gets it.
That leadership you talk about wasn’t there the last time PK was here! Imagine PK back then with a Shea Weber in the locker room! It would have been different.
Let me ask you this… can they make the playoffs or go far in them without replacing Shea’s physical presence, shot and ice time?
Vince Dunn is a decent piece but we’ll have to give something we don’t want to give to get him and then pay him! He’s headed straight to arbitration! The likelyhood of him getting a short term deal to go to free agency seems very likely with the Kraken. St-Louis went out of their way to get Faulk, Krug and Scandella along with Parayko because they couldn’t see him in their top 4. Something seems wrong with his story considering they just lost Pietrangelo. And the Blues knew he was leaving for free agency. Usually when teams lose a key piece, they don’t let 24 year old defensive studs go for free unless something is off. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not physical… not sure if he would be good at boxing out players like the Habs did in the playoffs.
MB doesn’t have alot of options! |

If he can come back focused and healthy it could be very good for the team. |

Danault won’t come back. I see Statsny or a trade with Arizona for a C.

Could always sweep Armia for Drouin but I’m clearly not sure he will be back even if they say so. |

They say he will, so he's in my line up. They won't shop for a winger, other than maybe a guy like Parise to be the 13th forward.
Agree on Danault, I think he's gone, but the way they talk about KK, they are not about to make him a 2C. |

A unique, but valuable case could be newly-minted Stanley Cup champion David Savard, because word is he’s more willing than some of his peers to consider Canadian destinations. One GM said Thursday that he’s hearing more and more from players that they prefer not to play in Canada. “It’s a real thing,” he said, mentioning taxes, social media and tighter pandemic restrictions.

Is Yandle better than Kulak playing on his off side? Should we give Josh Brook a try? The way you had your lineup playing in a kid makes sense |

no idea on Yandle. Romanov should see some pp time, but they might look for a 6th-7th d that could move the puck.
With Fleury gone, maybe Brook is next in line to move up, but I don't know if he's ready or not |
