Top pairing d men who can play another 8 to 10 years tend to be useful in a rebuild - Takemedrunkimhome
I know, but they're giving away prospects and picks for him (according to the rumor)

I think it's also a situation where Jones has said he'd extend in one location but maybe not the others - Takemedrunkimhome
CHI, COL and DAL were they only places he'd entertain an extension |

I know but the tweet talks about getting Seth for "another mix of Chicago’s young players, prospects and high draft picks", which is kinda the opposite of a rebuild. - Pat1993
maybe they want to do something like the Rangers
Jones is still young, no? |

he would be a top 4 d here.
They will need to play all 6 d, we saw that in the finals
look, Seth Jones is not happening, which is why I'm not talking about him. I was talking about Ellis before he got traded to the Flyers, but it is what it is. - deadpoulet
that still would be an overpayment

he's 26, and that makes sense, it's what they would give up to acquire him that I'm wondering about.

I did not even say how much they should pay him lol |

Makes sense and he's from TX. So any Jones talk can probably end here |

Although I have no experience, they say there's more than one way to skin a cat. They're (frank)ing weird |

I'm not the GM
le marché est mince pour cette position, à moins de faire jouer un gaucher à droite |

Prolly going to CHI with his brother. Will sign an extension as well.
Hamilton doesn’t want to come to Canada.
Habs will need to trade. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ristolainen/Savard landing here lol |

I get what you're saying, but overpaying because of a lack of options might not be the best approach either, imho.

The more I look at it the more I think of this season as a play the kids, clear the decks and prepare to reload with the next "core" type of year and I'm fully understanding if they do it. If they try quick fix schemes that just handcuff the team I'll be frustrated |

to be honest I don't think Savard would be the difference between making the playoffs or not... |

Is Tyson Barrie UFA? Lots of offensive potential but a bit small and not physical but that would have been the same as Ellis had we got him |

Charriot-Ristolainen
Edmundson-Petry
Romanov-Savard
Is kind of a good defense. More PP option, more offensive (which we lacked) in defensive. Still a huge D. Savard is 6’2 230lbs. Ristolainen is 6’4 221lbs. |
