By drafting prospect Logan Mailloux with the 31st overall pick, the Montreal Canadiens organization not only selected a promising hockey player, but also a young man who recently admitted to making a serious mistake. The Canadiens are aware of the situation and by no means minimize the severity of Logan's actions. Logan understands the impact of his actions. His recent public statement is a genuine acknowledgement of his poor behaviour and the first step on his personal journey.

We are making a commitment to accompany Logan on his journey by providing him with the tools to mature and the necessary support to guide him in his development. We are also committed to raising awareness among our players about the repercussions of their actions on the lives of others.

I know what you mean, but at the same time we don't have any specific details about the situation. I didn't meet the guy or his entourage, so I can't really give an objective opinion on the guy. but ya that's a pretty messed up story to carry and bring with him in a market like MTL, of all places

...do I take photographs of women during sex without her permission and then share them with other people... i can confidently say that I dont make those "mistakes"

calling this a "mistake" is pretty laughable IMO.

I'm not saying the kid should be banned or never should get an opportunity... and I guess to an extent it was evitable that some team was going to take him... but its a pretty bad reflection on the league that a team cannot resist drafting a guy with these types of issues while the issues are still ongoing.
